We’ve explored many of the natural scenic spots close to home, if by “close to home” you mean “within three hours, one-way.”  In search of new falls and mountain views we’ve expanded the radius to five hours, one-way, which in the Tokyo area works out to about 130km/80 miles.  On the upside, there’s a huge range of things to see, but on the downside, it makes for a long day trip, with four hours of fun at the cost of ten hours of driving.  I’m going to try to hook up a GPS navi system to the Suzuki and see whether the  bike can cut this time in half.
